MEDIA hoods feature a patented suction area design with filters placed beneath the hood. This innovation removes exhaust air efficiently with up to 30% less airflow, resulting in significant savings on fan operation and air heating during the heating season.

- Excellent ventilation, minimal drafts
Fresh air is supplied evenly around the hood through adjustable slots along its upper perimeter, ensuring optimal air distribution. Additionally, the front perforated panel directs intensified fresh air towards the working area in front of cooking equipment, improving comfort and air quality.

- Fresh air for the entire kitchen
Top duct connections allow fresh air to be distributed not only around the hood but also throughout other kitchen areas, providing complete ventilation for food preparation, dishwashing, and additional work zones.

- Efficient heating of fresh air
MEDIA hoods can heat incoming fresh air using the thermal energy of exhaust air. For example, when the temperature under the hood is around 30 °C, fresh air at 0 °C can be preheated to approximately 19 °C without additional energy input. Integrated plate heat exchangers also act as a third filtration stage, while a built-in water heater ensures further heating if required.

- Highly effective air filtration
Each MEDIA hood incorporates a three-stage filtration system: labyrinth filters, woven metal filters, and plate heat exchangers. This system removes nearly 100% of oil particles as small as seven micrometers – 11 times thinner than a human hair – as certified by DMT Institute in Germany.

- Lowest cleaning costs
All filters, including plate heat exchangers, are dishwasher-safe, allowing kitchen staff to handle most of the cleaning in-house. This reduces dependency on external services and keeps cleaning costs to a minimum.

- Lowest maintenance costs
Compared to other heat recovery systems, MEDIA offers the lowest maintenance expenses. The highly efficient filtration extends the intervals between duct and fan cleaning. Since the heat recovery unit is already built into the hood, there is no need for an additional ventilation device with costly and complex filters.
