Pattern, design Alfredo Haberli
The 'original'
When we founded our company back in 2006, one of the first pieces in our collection was bookcase Pattern, design Alfredo Häberli. The 'original' execution of the design was magnificent. It was quite a dominant character, could be used easily freestanding and received nearly immediately the 'Best Shelving' award by Wallpaper Magazine.
We still have kept this original and unique piece, with pride, but one day it may fly away to a museum or collector.
As happens often, the manufacturing of the original version requires a lot of manhours, so we sought for alternative solutions, which resulted in the use of an aluminum composite material and adding a back wall. This is still the way we make it today.
Pattern has been exhibited in several museums and published world-wide.
