Reggiani Illuminates the Wonderful World of Escher
On June 24, Milan’s Palazzo Reale hosts an exhibition of 200 works by the Dutch eclectic genius
Milan, June 16, 2016 – Another big project marks the long path taken by Reggiani for the museum illumination: the exhibition dedicated to the Dutch 'pop' genius, Maurits Cornelis Escher, opens in Milan on June 24.
The show will take place in the prestigious Palazzo Reale, following the success of the expositions dedicated to the artist throughout Italy that conquered the charts of the most appreciated exhibitions by the international public, with a total of 580,000 visitors.
The exhibition reveals the versatile and multi-faceted artist as its paradoxical graphics, which has expanded the imaginative possibilities of the whole world.
Along a path of more than 200 works, the exhibit kicks off from his liberty root and gets to the geometric research for amazing inventions, impossible perspectives and seemingly incompatible worlds.
Visionary representations which tend to give an ineffable shape and enchanted scientists, mathematicians, logicians from around the world: this is the wonderful world of Escher that Reggiani has enlightened.
"Lighting up the amazing world of Maurits Cornelis Escher was a complex and ambitious mission," says Matteo Reggiani, Corporate Strategic Officer of Reggiani. "Illuminating the many facets of such a versatile artist to enhance his genius to the world: this time our task was even more challenging and the result fills us with satisfaction".
The most famous masterpieces of Escher find their place in the exhibition at Palazzo Reale, from the Sfere with reflective hand, to Relativity (or stairs House), Metamorphosis and Belvedere.
Reggiani’s lighting project for the Escher exhibition uses Yori Track in the 10W version, integrated with anti-glare accessories and lens accessories to adapt the light beam to display requirements.
The exhibition, sponsored by the City of Milan - Culture, is produced and organized by Milan’s Palazzo Reale, Arthemisia Group and 24 ORE Cultura -24 ORE Group, in cooperation with the Escher Foundation. The exhibition is curated by Marco Bussagli and Federico Giudiceandrea.
