“Vue sur Square”: Diametro35 Inox by Ritmonio for the renovation of an apartment in Paris, in the heart of the XVI arrondissement.

residential apartment “Vue sur Square”

Interior architect Véronique Cotrel was responsible for the refurbishment and modernization of a prestigious residential apartment located in Paris, in the heart of the XVI arrondissement. The layout of the spaces, untouched for some time, no longer satisfied the owners' changing needs of modern living.

The renovation therefore concerned the entire house. Several interior design scenarios have been presented. Starting from the entrance, redesigned according to the style of the traditional entrances of the Haussmann-style buildings. In particular, a bricked-up window was reopened, to gain a source of natural light, also installing a glass window.

Kitchen and living area:

The heart of the project is the configuration of the kitchen: open space and overlooking the main living room. A choice made to allow the owners to enjoy the wonderful view of the square on which the apartment overlooks. However, in order to protect the privacy of the family in the living area, a small custom-made recess was designed, which houses a decorative and functional niche.

On the central island there is also a bench, also customised: an element that gives the kitchen a warm spirit and that allows you to optimize space, thus creating a real dining room.

The open space also has another advantage: it has allowed the creation of an extra room, a hybrid environment, which animates the living area and gives it airiness and breath. A mix of living room, TV room, reading room and guest bedroom: the room is equipped with a sofa bed, hidden by a custom-made wardrobe; in addition, it is connected to the entrance thanks to a large double glazed door, which has been preserved and preserved during the various stages of the works.

Sleeping area and bathroom:

As often happens in Haussmann-style apartments, the sleeping area can be accessed via a long corridor. The corridor itself was subjected to renovation to make it more practical, usable and to improve its aesthetics: custom-made containment modules have been inserted and wallpaper with tropical motifs has been applied. This area of the house is then divided into a bathroom with shower and a guest bedroom (obtained from the old kitchen) and with the master bedroom suite for the hosts.

The tapware was also an important subject of research.

Diametro35 series by Ritmonio, in stainless steel, perfectly satisfied the designers 'need to find a solution that would fit into the overall style of the home and that would respond to the owners' request to combine design and functionality.

With its winning mix of classic lines and original details, Diametro35 Inox made it possible to create "tailor-made" scenarios, which reflect the personality of those who experience the bathroom every day. A wide creative and functional versatility, therefore, which makes Ritmonio products perfectly integrable in different design contexts and are distinguished by being intended for an advanced audience, which does not give up on high performance combined with a refined aesthetic.
