Flamboyant facades with new ROCKPANEL Chameleon colours

“Chameleon” façade panels in the new Light Purple/Light Brown design display a subtle play of colour in pastel shades. Façade panels in the new Red/Gold/Purple design are stronger in tone, but again in the warm earthy red range. A façade bearing panels in the new Purple/Green/Blue colour combination creates a cool, very classic impression. “They evoke reflections in dark water”, is how Frank Weigelt, Marketing & Business Development Manager in the ROCKPANEL Group, describes this design. The Orange/Green/Brown design, which has been popular for years, remains available. Its colour spectrum calls to mind a broadleaf forest in autumn.

Design impact and fire prevention combined in one product

ROCKPANEL façade panels in the “Chameleon” series are available in the non-combustible “FS-Xtra” version, the “Durable” quality for standard applications, and the “Xtreme” quality for façade surfaces subject to higher mechanical strains. The “FS-Xtra” version of the ROCKPANEL façade panels fitted to an aluminium or a steel substructure fulfils the fire prevention requirements of European building materials class A2-s1, d0. This means that the panels can be used in situations in which fire prevention plays a particularly important role, such as high-rise buildings, schools, hospitals and nursing homes.

Recommended for sustainable construction

In May 2014, the ROCKPANEL Group became the first façade cladding manufacturer to obtain a European Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) from BRE Global – an independent test centre that certifies products and systems in the fields of fire prevention, safety and sustainability – for virtually its entire range. This EPD testifies that the “Chameleon” series complies with the environmental standards for building materials and systems in accordance with EN 15804.

Back in 2010, BRE Global also certified that the low-maintenance ROCKPANEL façade panels merit top life cycle assessment grades of A+ and A, an achievement that is due in part to the highly recyclable nature of the products.
