Pa.te.os – Portugal
On the slopes of Serra de Grândola, on the Melides Laguna overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, there are four contemporary villas in typical Alentejo style.
Surrounded by Mediterranean vegetation, cork oaks, olive trees, pine trees, and shrubs, the four different-size villas, designed by Manuel Aires Mateus, blend in perfectly with the landscape.
The project explores and expresses the concept of patio, in which indoor and outdoor space blend seamlessly and connect with nature – an idyllic landscape in which sunny days allow to fully enjoy spending time outside.
Boasting minimal design and decorations made with light and natural materials, the four Pa.te.os villas are a way of feeling at home away from home.
In each one, the patio provides a different way of connecting the indoors with the natural surroundings, also thanks to RODA’s outdoor and garden furniture that integrates perfectly with the outside space. Harp sun loungers and Ombrina gazebos offer respite from the sun and relaxing moments around the pool, while Dandy modular sofas, Lawrence armchairs, and Double pouffes create opportunities of togetherness to admire the beauty of nature.
