Enhancing Safety and Aesthetics with Augustaflex Bollards
Innovative Urban Solutions for Pedestrian and Vehicular Protection
Recently, in Mezzocorona, a charming town of about 5,500 residents located north of Trento at the foot of Monte di Mezzocorona, we completed a project to enhance pedestrian safety in the parking area adjacent to a supermarket without compromising the aesthetic harmony of the urban landscape.
The Solutions Adopted
To address these needs, we installed bollards to:
- Protect pedestrian pathways: Ensuring safe transit for pedestrians.
- Ensure safety at store entrances: Reducing the risk of accidents.
- Prevent unauthorised parking on sidewalks: Keeping pedestrian zones clear.
In parking and manoeuvring areas characterised by limited space and high vulnerability to impacts, implementing reliable protective solutions was crucial. To meet these demands, we selected Augustaflex parking bollards equipped with a spring-based system capable of effectively absorbing impacts. This system not only preserves the bollards' integrity over time but also keeps them perfectly in place, even after years of use.
The CHURCH model, a classic bollard with a spherical head painted in anthracite colour and a diameter of 76 mm, was chosen to blend with existing urban furnishings. Additionally, bollards with chain rings were installed in areas requiring greater protection.
In zones where vehicle access is necessary, we installed Augustaflex bollards with removable covers and triangular key locks, offering a system that allows easy disassembly when required.
