Difference between CNC aluminium parts vs. Injection parts

The new generation of awnings and pergolas manufactured with the latest CNC technology, maximum strength and design brand Spain.

Sahara is the only brand of pergolas that designs and manufactures its products and components through CNC machining. Except for those who understand industrial materials and processes, few understand the substantial difference between the components of our pergolas and the rest. In this post we will explain in a simple way what the difference is and where the great resistance to the weather and wind of our pergolas comes from, including how they have managed to obtain the maximum qualification according to the UNE 13561 standard.

Sahara has created the pergolas and awnings with technology used so far by the aeronautical and automobile sector, moving the optimization of raw materials and post-industrial design to sun protection.

The Computerized Numerical Control has exponentially expanded the applications of industrial machines through programmable production automation. Thanks to the synergy of various machines, Sahara products have three great competitive advantages: precision, finishes and resistance.

Precision

The CNC produces components with extremely complex profiles with solid turning and high precision micron scale in all programmed parts, regardless of volume or quantity.

Finishes

The aluminum block is milled, profiled and polished resulting in a perfect piece without internal porosity or joints, tail debris or other surface defects of traditional machines, achieving movements impossible to perform manually as circles or diagonal lines.

Resistance

The production process of Sahara is based on the aviation industry, characterized by the highest quality and safety requirement. The process gives the pieces a resistance that exceeds all expectations of hardness and durability.

The quality of Sahara awnings and pergolas is the result of the effort and determination to produce products that achieve excellence through the strength and durability of each component. Lasting Quality guarantees the quality of unaltered aluminum parts at the atomic level, keeping intact the characteristics of the alloy. It is based on studies and scientific evidence that demonstrate the superiority of the machining process over traditional ones.

CNC machining aligns the aluminum unidirectionally, in this way, the part remains 100% compact, resistant to impacts, fatigue and corrosion. The injection fills the mold with liquid aluminum using compressed air that releases hydrogen from the metal forming holes. The porosity in the piece makes it sensitive to breakage due to impact and corrosion.

Sophistication, aesthetics and technology are the leitmotif of Sahara design, subtracting the obvious and adding the significant. Through integral design control, thanks to CNC Technology, we have achieved products with the ability to change, improve and adapt, consisting of unique parts designed to create a synergy in the assembly, which ends in an elegant, compact and customizable finished product .
