Rocking chair redefined

Symbiosis of elegant wood and comfortable upholstery

Rocking chairs have a long tradition and first appeared in the USA around 1620. The "Pilgrim Fathers" in the USA are considered the inventors of the popular piece of furniture. The original rocking chair was made of wicker. However, very quickly a solid wood version also came on the market in the USA. The "Rocking Chair", as it is called in English, became famous because of its typical appearance on a porch in the Wild West or large farms of landowners. In addition to the classic American vintage look, it was mainly the Scandinavian design world that shaped the look of rocking chairs as we know them today. Wicker. However, very quickly a solid wood version also hit the market in the US. The "Rocking Chair", as it is called in English, became famous because of its typical appearance on a porch in the Wild West or large farms of landowners. In addition to the classic American vintage look, it was primarily the Scandinavian design world that shaped the look of rocking chairs as we know them today.

Our approach was to give the rocking chair a new design accent while developing a very high quality product made from sustainable materials. Thus, the Shabbes rocking chair fundamentally redefines the rocking chair as we know it. It combines an exceptionally modern design with high reclining comfort and sophisticated rocking center of gravity. The minimalist design language of clean lines and subtle shapes make this product so special. The materials wood and steel are a clear commitment to quality and durability.

After 3 years of development we believe to have created an inspiring product and hope to surprise our customers with it.
