NEW: athletic field inflatable structure by Shelter-Rite

Two connected air supported structures utilizing Shelter-Rite® architectural fabric by Seaman Corporation now provide year-round recreational opportunities, even during severe winter weather in East Lansing, Michigan.

Created for the Michigan Athletic Club, one clear span structure measures 126 feet by 332 feet, with a 41-foot-high ceiling to provide unobstructed play on six tennis courts. A second 41-foot-high clear span structure measures 110 feet by 152 feet, creating a second clear span fabric dome for the club's swimming pool.

The structures were designed and built by Yeadon Fabric Domes, Inc., using Shelter-Rite 8028 architectural fabric.

During the daylight hours, the need for artificial lighting is minimal, thanks to the soft lighting that's transmitted into the building through the white fabric.

The structures are designed to incorporate an inner thermal/acoustical liner that provides improved insulating properties.

Innovative anchoring techniques as well as advanced mechanical and electrical control systems combine with the rugged functionality and attractive appearance of the Shelter-Rite architectural fabric to deliver an attractive, functional facility with an excellent life span.
