Sigel receives double nomination for the German Design Award 2016

Mertingen/Frankfurt. New designs that make a striking impression: CONCEPTUM® Notebooks and Planners have been nominated for the German Design Award 2016, as have the artverum® Magnetic Glass Boards. This autumn, the products will have the chance to compete with other front runners from the world of design, when the high-ranking jury decides which of them will receive the coveted award.

Design pure and simple, down to the last detail – that’s CONCEPTUM® in a nutshell. The German Design Council was highly impressed by the notebooks and planners in the “Glam”, “Colour”, “Vintage”, “Drive” and “Touch” collections. It all comes down to the detail: classy jewel tones with a metallic finish, bright colours, a velvety used leather look and a touch of feminine chic.

The design experts’ nominations for the artverum® Magnetic Glass Boards went to the versions with the 3D motif, with the natural wood-grain structure and in the stylish colours of petrol blue and green. These contemporary pieces for the wall are not only aesthetically pleasing, but are also multifunctional information boards that meet the highest standards of quality and safety: magnetic pinboards to write on and wipe clean.

The German Design Council – established more than 60 years ago by the German Federal Parliament – has granted the top international “German Design Award” since 2012, to reward outstanding design quality throughout the world. The high-ranking jury is made up of design experts from the fields of commerce and science, and from the design industry. This year’s winners will be chosen in September 2015.
