Oval Tree Isles for Glasgow shopping centre
On the fringe of Glasgow lies Fort Retail Centre, a commercial strip with great ambitions. Streetlife produced a range of CorTen Tree Products as part of their plans in enhancing shopping experiences.
Large public spaces require proportionally larger interventions. Streetlife Tree Isles are perfect for making vast spaces more welcoming. The large Tree Isles bring down the scale of the public space and surrounding buildings for a more pleasurable experience.
Furthermore the surrounding green countryside of Glasgow is brought into the urban fabric. Together with Streetlife Tree Grilles the Tree Isles create green resting areas and focal points, transforming large paved areas into lush leisure space.
The CorTen steel of the Tree Isles and Tree Grilles makes for a lovely contrast with the shiny cladded built surroundings. The warm and natural look of the CorTen steel is complemented by the use of hardwood for the Rough&Ready sitting edges.
Several Oval Tree Isles and Tree Grilles have been placed already, while the expansion of the centre is ongoing, more Streetlife products will be welcomed in the coming years.
