MediaCampus : a terracotta haute-couture building

Agence Moatti – Rivière, architecte mandataire

The MediaCampus building looks tailor-made. Indeed, the joins between the two Thermoreal®-Gebrik®

panels could be mistaken for exposed stitching between two pieces of material. This effect is bolstered by the

patchwork of colours conceptualised by architect Alain D. Moatt. In order to remain faithful to the very specific

layout, the TERREAL teams developed ten products, whereas a conventional project requires three or four.

In order to produce the brick appearance required by the customer while in accordance with the fireproofing standards required for ERP (Building open to public), the Thermoreal®-Gebrik® was the only option on the market.

According to Grégoire Plasson, architect at Moatti-Rivière, responsible for the MediaCampus project.

“We wanted to provide MediaCampus with a strong identity. The Thermoreal®-Gebrik® enabled us to conceptualise a building that is a little mineral, as though excavated, sculpted, into which the light can penetrate. From far away, it is difficult to imagine that the cladding is terracotta, when the light is reflecting off its satin façade.
