Flora: a new kitchen experience

TM Italia and Design Apart present Flora, a new kitchen concept developed by architect Massimo Ghidoni.

An almost illusory abstraction of the island bench characterizes the new system: a prominent natural stone bench top is suspended on an asymmetrical metal structure. A balanced contrast of materials and destructured volumes, with sophisticated colour combinations.

Flora, whose first application is in Venice in the hospitality and culture venue of the same name, provides for a selection from four colour combinations: Verde Guatemala marble and light green, Arabescato marble and melon yellow, Brown Emperador marble and pale pink, and Rosso Levanto marble and aquamarine.

The Casa Flora kitchen island, with its built-in circular sink and stove top, plays on this delicate structural and aesthetic balance.

A harmony that we also find in its relationship with the space: the rich colour of the island is accompanied by neutral tones for the technical volumes that make the kitchen fully functional. Pearl grey and ash grey quartz are the dominant materials in the columns, low cabinets, wall cabinets, and workbenches. The island is proposed with four predefined layout solutions: aligned with the columns and suspended bases, aligned with offset columns, aligned with columns featuring recessed doors and a concealed work area, or as part of a corner configuration with a peninsula.

Each layout can be customized and integrated with the very extensive range of materials and finishes envisaged in the catalogue. The sophisticated simplicity of the

project, the refined colour contrasts, and the uniqueness of every TM Italia Made to Measure creation.
