Transformad recalls the Mid-Century Modern style in Maderalia

The company's stand recreates this mid-20th century style that stood out for its functionality, geometric lines and contrasting colors and finishes

Transformad will pay homage to the Mid-Century Modern style and the iconic architects and designers of the mid-20th century at the new edition of FIMMA – Maderalia, the international fair for materials, technology and components for furniture, interior design and contract projects, which is held in Valencia from March 31 to April 1.

Emerged in the United States as a reminiscence of modernism and with great influence from the Bauhaus, Mid-Century Modern was a movement that encompassed different disciplines such as architecture, interior design and product design and stood out for its firm commitment to a futuristic aesthetic, but much more functional than the styles that preceded it.

At stand N3-P2-D40 at Feria Valencia, Transformad has managed to recreate this style thanks to clean lines, geometric shapes and color blocks, in an exercise in planning and searching for functionality and aesthetics. Light is the protagonist of the space, which filters through the pergola roof, letting nature enter the interior, another of the great passions of the followers of Mid-Century Modern.

Tmatt as the protagonist of the stand

Tmatt, supermatt, anti-fingerprint and autoregenerative surface of Transformad will be the main protagonist of the stand. Like the Mid-Century Modern style itself, Tmatt is a surface ahead of its time, respectful of the environment and with innovative properties.

The stand has a large central space covered by large porticoes that support slats in Tmatt Legno Fumé color, placed harmoniously, which help create a warmer environment and improve the acoustic quality of the space. Under this large pergola, in the center of the stand, we find a large island in Tmatt Terracotta color with a superimposed Tmatt Lignite bar, which teleports you to the designs for homes and communities of the well-known American firm Knoll. Straight lines, overlaps and blocks of color that connect and inspire visitors.

On both sides, surrounding this central island, are the supermoods, large-format cubes that recreate small everyday spaces full of inspiration, such as bathrooms, dressing rooms or kitchens, decorated in styles such as art-deco, minimalism or contemporary, whose influences coexist with the predominant style.

Tribute to the iconic

At the rear of the stand, already outside the shelter of the large pergola, the work area is conceived, separated by a spectacular structure of square profiles with panels in the colors of the new Tmatt collection. It is a tribute to the iconic Eames House, by Charles and Ray Eames, who were pioneers in the use of metal in interior design, always creating clean and structured lines with color blocks that give it character. The transparency of this large metal structure invites the visitor to enter, while offering a certain degree of privacy for work meetings.

New Woods and other collections

The great novelty of Transformad, the New Woods from the Tmatt collection, also take center stage in this more private area, where you can see an entire wall paneled with Tmatt Toscano, a wood texture that combines caramel and toasted tones and that gives the space a touch of distinction and elegance. In the bar area, with high tables, the main wall is paneled with Tmatt Elba, a softer and more subtle wood, with brown, beige and gray tones, which breathe a more relaxed and calmer atmosphere.

It is in this area that the colors of the Crystal collection, Transformad's high-gloss lacquer, will also be exhibited as a gallery. Customers will also be able to find out about other already consolidated collections of the brand, such as Strati, the HPL laminate with antibacterial properties, and Mensystem postformed countertops.
