Microperforated architectural profile as solution for residential building's facade
Metallic cladding, the efficient solution for sustainable construction.
More than 4,000 m2 of the Profile Mallorca 6 have been manufactured and supplied for this recently opened residential building in Seville, Spain.
For this project, the Profile Mallorca 6 has been manufactured from a galvanized steel coil with a thickness of 0.8 mm and R5T7.5 perforation to subsequently stove-lacquer it on both sides in RAL 9010 colour.
As shown in the pictures, this profile has been used to enclose the terraces of each home in this building, providing elegance, design, and privacy. In addition, the perforation allows air to pass through and helps to maintain a more balanced temperature during the hottest months, while providing brightness and a better feeling of spaciousness inside the home.
The Profile Mallorca 6 has a useful width of 990 mm, which allows covering a large part of a project quickly and economically. This profile can be manufactured up to 6 meters long and has a rib height of 53 mm.
Given that for this project the profile was stove-lacquered with 55 microns of paint on both sides, the perforations were covered guaranteeing steel protection of this profile. This gives this façade greater durability over the years and will prevent the appearance of rust.
