Piergiorgio Cazzaniga is renowned for his pure and light designs that nevertheless hide a lot of technique. At Milan we showcased his Contour chair which will be launched in 2016.
The open, light shapes of the Contour chair combine style with natural elegance. The collection is characterised by a tube in powdercoated stainless steel that follows the outline of the chair in one continuous line – therefore the name Contour. The curves of the tube are solid which requires a great mastery. The woven backrest is attached at only 2 points to the frame and seems to float. The weaving with open structure recalls the centuries-old tradition of weaving. The seat is completely upholstered with a water-repellent cushion which can be easily removed.
