Reliable waterproofing under other coverings

Triflex BWS is proven to be a reliable waterproofing system for balconies and terraces. The liquid applied waterproofing with a polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) resin base, specially developed for use underneath other coverings, withstands general loads long-term. Triflex BWS is made up of the Triflex system components Triflex Cryl Primer, Triflex ProTerra and Triflex ProDetail. Thanks to its minimum layer thickness, the fleece-reinforced waterproofing system is also suitable for areas with low junctions.

The Triflex BWS waterproofing system can accommodate subsequent surfaces of fixed bonded or loosely applied overlays, as well as light wooden decking or the heavy ashlars used in monument preservation. All Triflex components have a short curing time and are applied in situ, wet-on-wet, so closure times are short. The cured waterproofing resin forms a seamless and joint-free surface. Liquid application means even complicated details, e.g. upturns, are easy to waterproof and integrate homogeneously into the surface.

Triflex BWS is full-surface fleece-reinforced. This gives the material a level of flexibility that leaves it unaffected by any movement of the foundation. It is highly resilient with dynamic crack bridging. The components are permanently resistant to alkalis and hydrolysis, so contact with mineral-based coverings or tile adhesives does not compromise the waterproofing. Additional alkali protection is not necessary. The waterproofing system can be applied in temperatures of down to 0°C, meaning it can be applied in winter, too. A European Technical Approval (ETA) and a general building supervisory authority test certificate testify to the reliability of the waterproofing system.
