Maximum protection under a flat roof

While in the past flat roofs were mainly seen in the architecture of commercial buildings, they are now also in fashion in private homes. More and more clients are being won over by the benefits of a bungalow or multi-storey cube designed in the Bauhaus style: Thanks to its straight form, a flat roof increases the amount of available space on the top storey, while the minimal surface area results in lower levels of heat loss during colder months compared to heavily pitched roofs. And to really make the most of the building shell, it's even possible to put a terrace on top of the flat roof.

Protection in the cold winter months

In autumn and winter in particular, it's important that a flat roof has reliable protection against the effects of the weather, in order to ensure that no moisture can penetrate. Standing water can put a great deal of strain on a conventional waterproofing system, meaning that cracks, scaling, mould or rust can quickly appear. In a worst-case scenario, severe damage to the fabric of the building could have an impact on the statics of its structure.

Durable building shell

Reliable protection for flat roofs can only be achieved with professionally waterproofed surfaces and details. To this end, Triflex works with architects and the involved trades to develop the best possible solution for each individual project. The liquid applied waterproofing manufacturer provides consultancy services during the planning phase, on the building site, and during project implementation. Its waterproofing systems protect building shells from rain, hail, storms, frost and snow in the long term. Tried and tested over 35 years, the components have a resin base, and successfully meet the most demanding requirements. The liquid applied waterproofing adheres to the entire surface of the substrate, making it impermeable, and the short curing times mean that projects can be completed in no time at all. The systems can be applied at down to -5 °C, allowing new designs, repairs or refurbishments to be executed during the winter too. Whether being used for simple or complex roof constructions, liquid applied waterproofing fits to the surface like a second skin. Triflex ProDetail makes it possible to permanently waterproof even complex geometries, skylights, pipes or chimneys.
