Overheating of houses should always be avoided, but especially in low energy and passive houses. The most efficient way to control the temperature inside a house is by installing solar protection.

Because low energy and passive houses are constructed differently; other – new, types of solar protection can be installed in. Because of that Wilms has developed a brand new sunscreen system, ZIPX®Zero.

This system is built in the hollow wall, completely behind the façade. The box is completely invisible and the bottom bar “disappears” in the box once the screen is enrolled. If repair is needed, this can be done at the exterior of the building. Because there is no contact with the inner part of the construction this screen fits perfectly in the philosophy of airtight building.

Once enrolled the system is completely invisible, moreover it still allows the installation of fly screens.

ZIPX®Zero is always operated with a motor. The motor can be driven via a simple switch but can also but can also be connected to a home motion system. But choosing a system with remote controls is choosing for a maximum of flexibility. Wall transmitters, hand transmitters even light and heat sensors everything is possible and very easy to add in a later stage or remove if no longer needed. A good combination of these products helps to regulate the temperature inside a building, even if the residents are not at home.
