Woodspars Delivers 1,000 m of Iroko Handrails for ASMAZ in Turkey

As part of a partnership with Turkish company ASMAZ, Woodspars produced and exported around 1,000 meters of HANDRAIL 42 solid iroko handrails, combining custom cutting, export packaging and international shipping support.

In architectural projects, handrails are often treated as secondary elements. Yet they play a key role in both the visual identity of a space and the user experience. For a recent collaboration with Turkish company ASMAZ, Woodspars supplied around 1,000 meters of HANDRAIL 42 solid wood handrails in iroko, illustrating how a technical finishing component can also meet demanding aesthetic and logistical requirements.

The project included the manufacture of round iroko handrails, prepared in custom lengths of 5 m, 4 m, 3 m and 2 m. This made it possible to adapt the supply to the partner’s operational constraints while facilitating handling, storage and on-site integration.

Iroko was selected for its relevance in architectural applications where durability, dimensional stability and visual quality matter equally. For handrail use, the species offers a balanced response to both functional and decorative expectations, making it suitable for projects that require a robust material with a warm, refined appearance.

Beyond production itself, the operation also involved export packaging, international shipping organization and customs documentation. This integrated approach is significant in cross-border architectural supply, where execution quality depends not only on machining accuracy but also on preparation, protection and document management throughout the logistics chain.

For Woodspars, the collaboration highlights a broader positioning in the architecture and building sector: supplying solid wood components that combine technical precision, material quality and readiness for international delivery. In this case, the result was a complete handrail package designed to support a professional partner from workshop production to export dispatch.
