ACTiLED lights the new Futuroscope entrance
Lighting the Plaza pergola
In 2022, Le Futuroscope announced “Vision 2025”, an ambitious project to transform and develop the park, with the broad outlines of densifying the offering and increasing capacity with new, even more innovative attractions, including Aquascope; and the creation of a resort around the park to extend the visitor experience. 2025, here we come!
As part of this plan, the entrance to the park has been completely redesigned and relocated. The Plaza Futuroscope is the new main entrance: a 26,000m2 esplanade linking the park's strategic points: the ticket office, the Hotel Cosmos, the new Aquascope water park, the Arena and the parking lots.
PERGOLA LIGHTING
In this context, ACTiLED Lighting had the privilege of being commissioned to provide dynamic lighting for the pergola running alongside the Plaza Futuroscope.
A total of 220 ACTiLED LED tubes were discreetly installed in the arms of the 300m long pergola.
As night falls, a real spectacle is set in motion, with lines of light lighting up in alternating colors to the rhythm of the ambient music.
ACTiLED lighting fulfils two roles. On the one hand, its functional role is to provide sufficient illumination for visitors, before marking out the pathway and enabling all visitors to move around in complete safety (including PRMs). On the other hand, it's a colorful display that takes place every evening, a nod to the colors of the logo and the park's DNA. Night-time visitors leaving an attraction or the famous evening show take this luminous path to reach the parking lot, the hotel or simply enjoy an evening stroll through an architectural landscape imbued with nature.
MADE IN FRANCE TUBULARS
ACTiLED tubes are custom-designed and manufactured in France, in its Nantes workshops. These LES luminaires have been chosen for a number of technical advantages that address both technical constraints and environmental issues:
- LED technology is energy-efficient
- Sturdy and resistant, IP66 luminaires withstand extreme weather conditions
- Compact, lightweight and streamlined, they are easy to slide in and out of the way as they follow the shape of the pergola. Fixing system with stainless steel clamps.
- Chainable luminaires, lighting can be installed in series
- Dynamic staging and lighting effects thanks to DMX control
AMBITIOUS AND PRESTIGIOUS PROJECTS CARRIED OUT BY ACTILED LIGHTING
The Parc de la Villette in Paris, the La Villette footbridge, the lighting prototype for the Olympic cauldron, Le Voyage en Hiver 2023 and 2024 in Nantes, the Futuroscope plaza, ... Decidedly, ACTiLED Lighting has racked up a string of renowned dynamic lighting projects in recent years, and intends to keep up the momentum in 2025.
