Sleep + Eat—Editor’s Pick of Distinguished Hospitality Products

This year’s Sleep + Eat event in London offered a large array of newly released products.

We put together an ensemble of our favorites that you might like to consider for your projects in the upcoming year. If you haven’t yet attended the event, we highly recommend it not only for product discoveries but networking. Some of the top brands, designers and architects attend so it’s worth your time.

Textiles and Wallcoverings

New to the event, Prestigious Textiles exhibited a range of prints, including its RIO range, jacquards and velvets alongside a rich diversity of plains, semi-plains and sheers. The company presented its new service, offering customizable designs printed onto any surface by using the latest digital printing technology.

The Belgian manufacturer of high-end wallcoverings, specializing in sophisticated printing and embossing techniques, Omexco featured its latest designs: Aruba and Portfolio. Aruba collection, inspired by the exotic Caribbean isle, recognizes craftsmen who respect natural materials such as weaves of waterlily and raffia with a range of linen yarns and ecological non-woven wallcoverings, whereas Portfolio collection pays tribute to Omexco’s heritage and features a variety of natural yarns including pure linen, multi-coloured silky cotton and viscose.

The Bathroom Scene

High-end Swiss bathroom solution company, Laufen launched The New Classic collection by Dutch designer Marcel Wanders. Utilizing Laufen’s innovative SaphirKeramik material, the designer created a collection combining gentle, feminine curves with angular, masculine elements. This lightweight yet resilient material gives the unique opportunity to celebrate the beauty of ceramics with elegant, soft lines, according to Marcel Wanders.

For its 14th year exhibiting at the event, the German supplier of premium bathroom solutions and kitchen fittings Grohe showcased its ground-breaking Icon 3D metal-printed taps—its first official showcase in the UK.
