French architect and interior designer Charles Zana transformed the former “Samaritaine de Luxe” into the splendid Kimpton St Honoré, a 5-star hotel whose doors will open August 23, 2021.
The building maintains its 1917 Art Nouveau facades, highlighting a consistent appreciation for the style in the Opera district where it is located close to Place Vendôme, the Tuileries Garden and the Louvre.
Kimpton St Honoré Paris unveils two unique dining areas, 149 rooms and suites as well as a Codage spa and an indoor swimming pool. This first opening in France marks a new stage in the European expansion of the boutique hotel brand of the IHG® Hotels & Resorts group, Kimpton® Hotels & Restaurants.
Inspired by 1930s Art Deco, Charles Zana imagined each room like a Parisian apartment with balconies, studio windows and carefully selected works of art.
On the ground floor, MONTECITO is a Californian-inspired restaurant designed by Humbert & Poyet. The menu combines healthy, gourmet recipes with abundant American generosity.
On the 10th floor, SEQUOIA is a rooftop bar designed by Charles Zana with a 360 ° view over the rooftops of Paris and its emblematic monuments.
“France is renowned for its hotels and Paris for its art, design and rich culture. We are very excited to bring the Kimpton philosophy of relaxed, sophisticated and personalized service to this sublime establishment. The opening of the Kimpton St Honoré Paris brings joie de vivre and dynamism, breathes modernity into this marvelous listed building, and welcomes travelers in a luxurious and relaxed style,” Christophe Laure, Regional Director IHG, stated in a press release.
