Vitality and Lamé, New Collections of Luxury by Davani
Here we present the debut furniture collection called the Vitality Capsule collection and the Lamé series of nesting, occasional and dining tables.
Since our interview with CEO and Creative Director Anthony Davani in January 2021, Davani has connected with us to share information about some of the group’s latest collections: Vitality and Lamé.
The Vitality Capsule Collection
Annysa LaMantia designed the debut furniture collection, the Vitality Capsule, to illustrate the energy found in the artful veining that traverses natural stone. The unique organic appearance of the materials hint at a sense of movement and circulation. As the elements of the pieces interact, they create a vibrant synergy crucial to the vitality of the space.
Accentuated by natural stone’s variations and movement, the curvaceous form of the Vitality Credenza lends a unique vitality to any interior. Incorporating the finest Italian craftsmanship, this credenza comprises multiple luxury materials including legs formed from nubuck leather, an exposed natural stone interior, concealed storage in walnut wood, and brass metal detailing.
Celebrating the infinitely varied experience natural stone provides, the Vitality Cocktail Table was designed with this individuality in mind. Conceived to provide a new viewing experience from every angle, this cocktail table recalls a constant fluid movement. Undulating brass-clad legs support the simple unique brilliance of its natural stone top.
With its organic beauty as the focal point, the Vitality Dining Table was crafted to showcase the true power and vivacity of its featured stone. Placed in the heart of the home, the dining table’s generous and unique shape encourages robust and inclusive gatherings. The distinctive base shape, accentuated with brass details, was constructed to echo the natural veining pattern found in its top, creating an unrivaled effervescence to the overall feel of the piece.
Crafted for both comfort and elegance, the Vitality Dining Chair is the perfect companion piece for those gathered around its inspiration, the Vitality Dining Table. The delicate curves of its form mold to the table’s unique shape and provide a generous seating area. A piece that revels in ease and relaxation, its exterior is crafted from nubuck leather while the interior is modeled from luxe fabric with decorative brass detailing.
The Lamé Table Series
NY-based company INC Architecture & Design designed the Lamé series of nesting, occasional and dining tables. The series was named after the mathematician who pioneered curvilinear arithmetics, Gabriel Lamé, because of how the tables are made and put together.
Each uniquely shaped slab has been carefully sculpted to key into its partners without fasteners to create a balanced whole. The freedom of shape made possible through computer-aided stone cutting, combined with traditional stone carving techniques, lend these artfully realized objects a timely and timeless character.
Like sand or earth rendered solid, the subtle shifting movement of the stones selected for these tables in their initial offering work as a foil to the flowing curvaceous lines. The Lamé Table Series, nature nurtured for the interior landscape.
The tables come in flatpack, are made of natural stone and have an organic form. The flatpack feature allows for easy assembly of the tables. The slabs fit perfectly together without fasteners. The stones used to sculpt the tables have a unique fossil-like quality, and a neutral color palette. The organic silhouettes of these deceptively simple tables have been rendered with an abstract clarity that is meant to balance natural and nurtured form.
