supersalone: Our Product Selection of the Crème de la Crème

During our tour of the special supersalone event 2021, we felt a coup de coeur for a few products on display. Here’s our list of some favorite pieces.

September 5, 2021—The supersalone event curated by Stefano Boeri took place under the banner of Salone del Mobile, bringing the design actors together again for a physical interaction; and while the exhibition comprised only four pavilions, we fell for a few of the products on display.

Fancy Bathroom Faucet Handles by Rubinetterie Stella

Rubinetterie Stella presented its new Macaron faucet handles. Meneghello Paolelli Associati studio and Rubinetterie Stella collaborated for the first time, resulting in this stunning collection of faucet handles.

The company explained the handle, the backbone of every single 3-hole project, is broken down into 3 different overlapping elements, just like the macarons, so that the individual layers could be composed together in a “mix and match” of materials and finishes.

A second “precious” ring is added to a base layer on which a third and last material layer (wood, marble and grit) is superimposed to complete the “macaron” creating a sophisticated play of finishes and materials.

Classy Magnetic Lamp on Tray with Vase by Cini & Nils

Design duo Luta Bettonica and Giancarlo Leone concocted Ognidov for Cini & Nils; it’s a wireless atmospheric lighting solution with a touch dimmer, intended for indoor or outdoor use. This newly-released lamp has an iron base while the lamp and vase are made of aluminum.

In the tabletop version, the lighting body and vase are fitted with magnets to enable you to position them freely on the base or directly on any metal table. It can be customized by combining the elements with gold, silver or matt black finishes to suit your taste, each of which can be bought separately.

Geometric Mosaic Table by Testi Group

Designer Eleonora Castagnetta construed Phoebe, a geometric mosaic table, for the Testi Edizioni collection. She worked with Testi Group to create a geometric mosaic of precious marble and granite elements using the lightness of the INOXSTONE technology. As explained by the company, Phoebe is the daughter of Uranus (the sky) and Gaea (the earth), and is a deity of Greek mythology. Her name means “brilliant”, “pure”, “luminous”.

The association between heaven and earth is represented in the Table, a metaphorical vision of celestial bodies made with materials linked to the rock., as described by the company.

The polychrome inlay, with elegant and geometric shapes, is made using different materials: marble, granite and sodalite, in four colors. There are 168 pieces assembled one by one by highly qualified workers.

Mass Pressure, New Iconic Armchair by Horm

Horm consolidates its collaborations with international creative minds, by introducing – in partnership with Novacolor – the MASS PRESSURE chair, ideated by award-winning designer Dror Benshetrit, known for his contribution with the fields of interior design, architecture and art.

The MASS PRESSURE chair derives from the transformation through compression of one cube meter of foam rubber into a unique functional object. It has a metal tubular frame with an innovative liquid copper-plated upholstery. This is another product focused on the scarcity of the planet’s resources and is the precise reason for why Horm partnered with Novacolor to create an exclusive textile for the chair.
