MUNICIPAL CEMETERY - LIGNANO SABBIADORO (UD) - ITALY
Designed to renew buildings, Atena’s architectural cladding was used to cover the perimeter wall of the Municipal Cemetery located in Lignano Sabbiadoro. This solution made it possible to combine the aesthetics of the architectural coverings with the need to conceal the cemetery’s perimeter wall. The final result is a harmonious integration of art and utility that contributes to the enhancement of the entire environment.
In this way, funeral architecture becomes an opportunity to add value to the existing heritage, with a focus on the need to accompany our loved ones to a welcoming place.
The system used to cover the perimeter wall is a solution with pre-formed, custom-made panels, chosen in corten colour, a natural finish that matches the surrounding vegetation. Discreet and elegant, this colour, together with geometrically shaped panels, makes the perimeter wall cladding a perfect example of funerary architecture.
Consisting of panels hooked onto vertical carriers with a “C” section, the Atena Formal Step system allows to create any flat, curved, conical, linear or three-dimensional architectural item, integrating any finishing element into an aesthetic unicum. The predefined pitch carriers make possible an optimised installation operation and, after laying the structure, panels can be attached without the need for further adjustment.
