The Vanguard of Design with Atena Hammered Steel Panels
In the vibrant heart of Abano Terme, Hotel Mioni Pezzato stands out as an exceptional sanctuary where wellbeing finds its ideal form within over 20,000 m² of thermal gardens. This resort represents an oasis of perfect balance between mind and body, offering a complete sensory experience that masterfully blends healthy culinary excellence with the latest frontiers of thermal architecture.

At the heart of the resort’s architectural vision lies the “Piscina Tranquilla”, a pristine pool maintained at an ideal temperature that spans 150 m² of indoor space before extending for another 135 m² outdoors. This environment offers a rejuvenating journey enhanced by hydromassage stations and mobility paths designed for the total relaxation of every guest.
To elevate the aesthetic experience and create a truly magical atmosphere, a one-of-a-kind installation was conceived to capture and amplify the very essence of the liquid element. Inside, suspended above the water’s surface, float circular islands with diameters of 1, 1.8, and 2.4 meters. Crafted from 10 mm thick aluminium, these installations feature an overlay of mirror-polished 316 stainless steel, defined by a sophisticated hammered texture. These structures, finished with a 50 mm perimeter border and supported by robust 30×50 mm L-systems, decorate the ceilings with a vibrant surface that appears to ripple. The result is a play of reflections that effectively dissolves every visual boundary between the ceiling and the pool below.
The same stylistic language continues seamlessly along the exterior walls where, framed within elegant arched openings, the Atena Formal panels are installed. These 316 stainless steel elements, backed with composite material and finished with an exquisite hammered mirror effect, allow the architecture to interact constantly with the cycles of nature and shifting atmospheric conditions.
During the day, the surfaces capture the brilliance of the daylight, while at nightfall, they transform into mirrors for the silver moonlight. This choice of materials provides guests with a suspended, ethereal, and profoundly enchanting atmosphere that shifts poetically with the passing hours, perfectly integrating architectural craftsmanship into the thermal landscape of Abano.
