The Art of Venetian Glass at Artemest’s L’Appartamento
Lighting tradition meets interior innovation: Bottega Veneziana’s bespoke chandeliers enhance three curated spaces at Milan’s Palazzo Donizetti.
As part of the third edition of L’Appartamento by Artemest during Milan Design Week 2025, Bottega Veneziana was selected to contribute three bespoke Murano glass chandeliers to an exclusive interior design showcase celebrating Italian craftsmanship.
Set within the elegant 19th-century Palazzo Donizetti, the exhibition brought together six renowned interior design studios, each tasked with transforming a room into a personal and immersive design statement. The Venetian lighting brand was chosen by three international designers—Brigette Romanek, Simone Haag, and Nebras Aljoaib—to complement their curated interiors with sculptural lighting of strong character and expressive materiality.
In the Dining Room, American designer Brigette Romanek selected two custom-made Michelle chandeliers, placed above the central table to create a luxurious and theatrical visual impact. Richly decorated and illuminated with warm tones, the chandeliers reference the grandeur of traditional Rezzonico styles while enhancing the Italian art of conviviality.
In the Foyer, Australian stylist Simone Haag chose the unconventional Cleo chandelier—a striking, contemporary piece that contrasts with historic architectural details to define an entry space that is bold, layered, and unexpected.
Finally, in the Intimate Lounge, Saudi designer Nebras Aljoaib installed the Marina suspension. Its delicate tone and sculptural form were used as emotional and spatial anchors, creating a serene and contemplative atmosphere that reflects the designer’s refined approach to balance and material expression.
