Casalgrande Padana will be at Boutique Design New York 2024

On 10 and 11 November, Casalgrande Padana will be at Boutique Design New York, held in the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in Manhattan, Hall 429.

The Italian Trade Agency has organised a collective participation together with Ceramics of Italy, in collaboration with the business association Confindustria Ceramica.

Now in its 14th edition, Boutique Design New York is a trade fair for the promotion of designer products for hotels, restaurants and spas. The event is aimed at professionals in the hospitality sector, called upon to respond to new requirements and changing needs, ranging from the use of sustainable, eco-friendly materials to energy efficiency.

Pietra Tiburtina: where history meets modernity

Enchanting Italian heritage replete with charm and history springs back to life in the porcelain stoneware tiles from the Pietra Tiburtina collection, striking a perfect balance of design, craftsmanship, creativity and technological innovation. Fragments of material stream from the caves of ancient Tibur to take us on a journey through history. In ancient Rome, travertine – or lapis tiburtinus, as it was called then – was widely used as an ornamental and construction material. Available in both a vein-cut version, which emphasises the lengthwise layers of limestone deposits, and a cross-cut version, with an antiqued finish also available, which highlights the subtle cloud-like effects and gives the tiles an aged flavour of times gone by, the new Pietra Tiburtina collection by Casalgrande Padana combines the allure of stone with the strength and resistance of porcelain stoneware.

Subtle earthy shades, variegated streaks and a three-dimensional interplay of light and shade spread across the tiles, creating a delightfully rich, elegant pattern. Stonetech: next-generation technical porcelain stoneware tiles

The new Stonetech collection derives from Casalgrande Padana’s consolidated tradition of research and experimentation, cutting-edge production processes and the extensive technical knowledge and expertise acquired over 60 years in the tile business. These new technical porcelain stoneware tiles replicate the distinctive texture of the magmatic rocks typical of the Central Alps: different-sized fragments of marble, quartz and feldspar blend and float randomly within the tiles, becoming one with them.
