Grand Prix Casalgrande Padana: Award Ceremony on 5 December

The 13th edition of the Casalgrande Padana Grand Prix reaches its final stage: the award ceremony will be held on December 5, 2025 in the new Auditorium at the Casalgrande Padana headquarters.

The competition, an international benchmark for the dialogue between architecture and ceramic design for over thirty years, will reward the works that best interpret the aesthetic, technological, and sustainable potential of the ceramic material.
The winners will be announced during the event, while the evening will be enhanced by a special musical moment: a flute concert by Maestro Andrea Gramellini, which will accompany the announcement of the winners in a unique interplay of architecture, design, and art.
Once again, the Casalgrande Padana Grand Prix confirms its mission to celebrate design excellence in a context that unites culture, experimentation, and creative languages.

The competition aims to recognize and value projects in which ceramic is not merely a finishing touch, but a true design element—in form, function, and innovation. The jury examined over one hundred projects from Italian and international studios, realized between 2022 and 2024. The evaluation process considered a wide range of aspects, including compositional and formal originality, the integration of ceramic materials into structural solutions, environmental sustainability, technological efficiency, and the idea of ceramic as a design "expansion."

The international jury
The selection committee, chaired by Franco Manfredini (Casalgrande Padana), is composed of leading figures in the world of architecture, design, and specialized journalism: Simon Keane-Cowell (Editor in Chief of Architonic), Tarik Abd El Gaber (Architect and Deputy Editor of D’Architectures magazine), Alessandra Ferrari (Architect from the National Council of Architects of Rome), Sebastian Redecke (Architect and Editor of Bauwelt magazine), Alessandro Valenti (Architect, Editor of ABOUT and elledecor.it), and Matteo Vercelloni (Architect and Editorial Consultant for INTERNI Magazine).

Below, the shortlisted projects, divided by category.
