Cersaie 2026 - Civitas by Casalgrande Padana: all the elegance of the Mediterranean
Civitas brings a novel slant to the essence of Travertine, to deliver a sophisticated fusion of styles.
Inspired by the landscapes that look onto the Mediterranean basin and by a mix of styles influenced by different countries, from Rustic Chic and Maritime Chic to the more exotic Coastal style, the new Civitas porcelain tile collection features warm shades, smooth, enveloping blends of colour, random inclusions with a strikingly decorative impact, soft surface finishes and the textures typical of Travertine. A simple concept with a timeless allure unveils the uniquely sublime, authentic beauty of imperfections whose very essence is revealed by the light. Shadows and reflections define the tiles, alternating matt and polished surfaces and shaping an on-going dialogue between depth and luminosity.
Elegant and versatile, with a vintage allure, Civitas evokes balmy Mallorcan summers, romantic farmhouses nestled amid olive groves and fragrant citrus trees, conjuring up all the distinctive elegance of a villa on the shores of the Mediterranean.
This collection is the perfect pick for architects and designers in search of porcelain stoneware tiles able to bring a uniquely genuine charm to any setting. It’s ideal not only for floors and walls, but also for décor elements such as washbasins, shower trays, shelves, tables, built-in induction cooktops, dividing walls, accent walls, wall cupboards, worktops and home spa bathrooms. It can be used both indoors and outdoors, in residential and commercial settings, in the contract, retail and hospitality sectors, and is also a great choice for hotels, kitchens and the interiors of luxury yachts and ships.
Civitas is available in three colours (Arena, Luna and Tufo) that range from beige to warmer hazelnut and walnut tones. The collection has a natural surface, and a thickness of 6 mm for the large 120×278 cm size, while the 120×120 cm, 60×120 cm, 60×60 cm and 30×60 cm formats come in a thickness of 9 mm.
The modular formats offer flexibility when it comes to composition, which can be adapted effortlessly based on the size and layout of each setting. The large 120×278 cm and 120×120 cm sizes are especially suitable for tiling large surfaces, reducing grout lines to a minimum for a smoother, more continuous look. This makes Civitas ideal for floors and walls, where it can be used to create seamless swathes of colour, texture and material across different levels, visually expanding volumes and enhancing the spatial dialogue between different areas, thanks to a smooth, cohesive perception of surfaces.
In the 60x120 cm, 60x60 cm and 90x90 cm sizes and in the colours Arena and Galena, the new Casalgrande Padana collection is also available in a thickness of 20 mm with a Grip surface, conceived for tiling terraces, patios, loggias, pedestrian areas and pool edges, where it can be glued to screed or laid directly on sand, gravel or grass. It is also a great option for raised floors. The natural surface for interiors and the anti-slip surface for use outdoors allow designers to create coordinated solutions, seamlessly matching colours and materials.
A further plus offered by Civitas is the availability, in all the collection colours, of decorative tiles in the sizes 60x120 cm and 30x30 cm, adding elegant details that embellish living spaces with a touch of timeless charm.
