MONOLAMA QRX ELEVATING ARCHITECTURE
INSIDE THE KINDERSPITAL ZÜRICH PROJECT WITH CEIR
For over 50 years, CEIR has been a trusted partner for architects worldwide, providing high-quality ceiling systems that blend style, functionality, and durability—all at competitive prices. Our latest milestone? Contributing to the newly built Kinderspital Zürich, Switzerland’s largest pediatric hospital, designed by the renowned Herzog & de Meuron.
This ambitious project features an impressive 6,500 m² of our Monolama QrX microperforated aluminum square-cell ceiling system. The installation is supported by a robust yet refined Delta suspension, seamlessly integrating with the building’s architectural elements. Beyond aesthetics, the ceiling system enhances acoustic performance and ambient lighting—two critical aspects for a space dedicated to patient comfort and well-being. Additionally, its flexible design meets both functional requirements and the creative vision of the architects, ensuring a perfect balance between practicality and innovation.
The Monolama QrX system offers architects unparalleled design freedom, thanks to its multidirectional structure that adapts to various layouts. Whether experimenting with unique patterns or aligning the system precisely with a project’s concept, the flexibility of QrX makes it an ideal choice. Performance and safety are also top priorities, with fire ratings of Euroclass A1 / A2-s1, d0, along with an anti-seismic option for maximum security. Sustainability remains at the core of CEIR’s philosophy—manufactured in Italy, QrX is made from 100% recyclable, ultra-light aluminum, making it an excellent choice for environmentally conscious builds. Furthermore, the system allows for easy integration with concealed or exposed suspension options, while microperforation enhances acoustics and supports efficient airflow.
As architects continue to shape the future of design, we’d love to hear your thoughts: How do you balance acoustic performance with visual impact in your projects? If you’re working on a new build or renovation and need a ceiling solution that harmonizes form, function, and budget, let’s connect.
