CHILEWICH LAUNCHES 2015 – 2016 COLLECTION : PLYNYL PLANK FLOOR TILES

PLYNYL® PLANK FLOOR TILES take advantage of new manufacturing techniques that Chilewich developed and allow for new shapes and sizes of flooring products to be made. The Plank shape (6" x 36" / 15 x 91cm +/-) was chosen to allow for ease of installation and to highlight the inherent bi-directional quality of Chilewich’s woven textiles.

The visual effect of the Plank Floor Tiles is one of strong linearity, similar to other natural materials, such as wood or stone. The unique feature of Plank though, is that this specific shape highlights the joints between the planks. Unlike carpet tile that can be visually monolithic when installed, woven fabrics by their nature cannot be monolithic.

The Plank Floor Tile highlights the edges of the planks and makes them a design feature of the product, giving designers a new tool to use the product to enhance a room’s visual appeal. Plank Floor Tiles are available with a vinyl backing or BioFelt® backing.
