In 2016, NBCUniversal completed their plan to upgrade and enhance the space at 30 Rockefeller Plaza to celebrate the storied past of one of the most iconic buildings in entertainment history. This renovation included the re-creation of the original art deco era design of the NBC portion of the lobby while at the same time incorporating a modern and technologically adept space. Renowned architectural and design firm Gabellini Sheppard Associates designed this space to be more aesthetically pleasing and functionally enhanced. Chilewich Plynyl® Tile Flooring was selected in Basketweave for this project.
All Chilewich flooring is durable, easy to clean and Green Label Plus™ certified by the Carpet and Rug Institute, which is recognized by the U.S. Green Building Council. Therefore, all Chilewich flooring earns LEED points.
Chilewich flooring also contains Microban® certified to inhibit the growth of stain- and odor-causing bacteria, mold and mildew.
