A timely exploration of an authentic and primitive material ideal with a strong emotional and intimate impact has resulted in Grunge, the Cotto D’Este collection that enhances the concrete effect to create minimal spaces with a precise contemporary aesthetic.

Originally developed for industrial purposes, concrete can now give both indoor and outdoor environments a uniquely elegant look; thanks to its versatile texture, material quality and neutral shades, it naturally harmonises with the surrounding spaces and elements, making every environment truly unique.

In this context, Cotto D’Este is therefore presenting Grunge, confirming its great ability to combine beauty and innovation in ceramic to achieve unconventional, yet alluring, sophisticated results.

Characterised by the totally seamless effect of the large Kerlite plus slabs, the laminated porcelain stoneware with fibreglass combines absolute resistance with an ultra-thin design, typical of all Cotto d’Este slab products, of which the company is a pioneer and undisputed market leader. The result is a striking collection with an irregular texture, featuring subtle graphic motifs and meticulously designed to create an elegant product with a strong personality.

Available in four colours, two different greys, Cloud and Storm, respectively light and dark, dove grey, Taupe and an unusual sage colour, Musk, the new collection consists of large 120x260 cm and 120x120 cm sizes with a thickness of just 6.5 mm, accurately replicating the imperceptible roughness of vibrated concrete and making the surfaces particularly realistic and tactile, with a slightly uneven texture. The slabs feature a matt, ultra-compact and glare-free effect, in line with the latest design trends, and are characterised by very high performance in terms of resistance and outstanding technical performance.

Grunge also includes Protect® technology, which can eliminate up to 99.9% of bacteria, transforming floor and wall coverings into an antibacterial shield to ensure a healthy, safe and sustainable lifestyle. Thanks to the silver ion technology, which is directly integrated in the slab mixture during the firing process, the antibacterial protection boasts an unrivalled level of external effectiveness and is always active 24 hours a day.
