France, pioneer in the development of SOLAR CAR PARKS

The French National Assembly approved last November a new measure to make it compulsory for car parks to include solar energy if their surface area exceeds 1,500 m2.

This new regulation will apply to existing car parks and new car parks with space for at least 80 vehicles, 5 years from now. In fact, as of 1 July 2023, photovoltaic shading is already mandatory for outdoor car parks associated with buildings on at least 50% of their surface area.
