Cinematic Rebirth: Ferco Equips Battersea Power Station's New Cinema with Sophisticated Seating

Battersea Power Station is at the heart of one of central London’s most prominent, visionary, and eagerly anticipated new developments, with over 42-acre (over 8 million sq ft) former industrial brownfield site becoming home to a community of houses, shops, bars, restaurants, cafes, offices and over 19 acres of public space.

Approved by Wandsworth council and the Mayor of London, The £9bn project has seen the creation of a vibrant, mixed-use development, a new neighbourhood and business quarter for London, serviced by a Zone 1 extension to the London Underground Northern Line and the restoration of Grade II* listed Power Station. The power station has been restored, generating clean energy using renewable fuels.

The newly crafted Cinema in the Power Station is nestled into the heart of the bustling station. Crafted by the same ingenious minds behind 'The Cinema at Selfridges,' Barnes's unforgettable 'Olympic Cinema,' and the intimate haven of 'The Cinema in the Arches,' this cinematic gem will transport you to a realm of pure cinematic ecstasy.

Every detail of 'The Cinema in the Power Station' has been curated to complement its elegant, boutique atmosphere and showcase state-of-the-art excellence. Collaborating closely with our client, we've designed seating that exudes sophistication and comfort.

In Screen One, we've installed 213 TALA glide plush purple seats for guests to sink into. In Screen Two, installed were 137 gorgeous green TALA glide seats. And for those seeking a little more of a VIP experience, both auditoriums boast four beautiful two-seater sofas tucked away in the rear, exclusively.

The Tala Glide seat can also be customised with a swivel concession table for an enhanced food and beverage offering or dine-in experience. Stylish and versatile, Tala is available in both single and twin configurations.

Ferco has embraced the look and feel of the cinema by crafting sleek design elements that blend harmoniously with the industrial heritage of the surroundings. The overall aesthetic is a sophisticated blend of raw industrial features and modern elegance, creating an ambience of pure comfort and class.
