The Covent Garden Cinema

The Gorgeous Garden Cinema partners with Ferco Seating

Walking around Covent Garden you may pass the Garden Cinema without realising it’s there, but when you know, you will know and want to come back time after time.

The cinema is privately owned by long-term film lover Michael Chambers, so it is truly Independent and very niche. It runs a variety of events, including film festivals, gin tasting classes, photography classes, music and poetry recitals, and of course, films.

The Garden Cinema only shows films that they think are great; There are a lot of art-house foreign-language films from all around the world shown there, but it also screens some newer releases with a broader appeal. The Garden Cinema’s belief is that if the film is good, then an audience deserves to see it.

When you enter the cinema from a nondescript side street, your mind is blown. It is beautifully designed with art deco features and is perfect not just for watching a film, but it can also be a hired space for meetings and events. Soft lighting and “privacy booths” (previously Victorian coal holes) line the side of the spacious bar area, and artwork adorns the walls – one panel, for example, is Gauguin with a twist! There’s a section called “The Tunnel,” which has more quiet two-person booths, adding to the charm of the venue.

There is a spacious cocktail bar, so when you’ve watched the film, you can sit, relax, and discuss what you have just experienced. And it IS an experience in this beautiful cinema. The 10,000+ Members must have a reason to keep going again and again.

Ferco's contribution to the space

Ferco has installed 60 new Action BR seats into the new Screen 3. They are the same model as Quinette Gallay installed in the other two screens when the cinema was born (Quinette is now part of the Ferco family Group). They have stylish embroidered seats and row letters, with a cupholder. The entire first row allows for maximum flexibility, with 10 removable seats.

Richard Vitola-Jones, Director of Operations, says:

“We took a lot of care in choosing our seating, visiting many showrooms and cinemas across London. With Ferco, we found the perfect balance for our screening rooms
