Fabric: a case study
A lounge bar & sushi with a strong personality, modern and welcoming, gathered in a luminous casket that claims its presence within the urban context of the port of San Benedetto del Tronto. The Fabrick restaurant was born from the careful renovation with the technical partnership of Frigomeccanica-Officine 900, expert companies in the bar furniture sector, and presents itself as the ideal place in which to live, taste and share emotions.
The interior lighting features the customized system of ceiling elements, proposed in a warm brass-plated finish, which shows an original geometric interlocking game. Each drinking table is equipped with a light point. Behind the padded back of the benches run the LED strips that enhance the plasticity of the masonry. The lights are dimmable and vary in intensity and atmosphere as needed throughout the day.
The neutral shades of color of the tables and poufs of the refined outdoor area are flanked by the warmth and brightness of the finishing color of the street facade and the large access doors and internal lighting that create a visual counterpoint in the urban landscape. The same shade is taken from the covering of the planters.
The counter and back counter design is material and bright. The counter is covered in Canaletto walnut finished by hand and combined with the grit effect porcelain stoneware of the worktop and back wall. In the back counter, the bottles are displayed on a metal structure with an illuminated brass finish. The smoked mirror surface is also handcrafted.
The benches, tables, flower boxes and ottomans, placed both inside and outside, were made to an exclusive design for Fabrick, with a minimal and light-hearted line that dialogues with the interior design concept of the venue. The sofas and armchairs, by Gervasoni, are arranged in the central space in harmony with the existing structural pillars.
The materials of the finishes and internal surfaces enhance the architectural envelope. The cement resin floor recalls the color tone of the walls, where the texture of the bricks remains visible. Neutral colors also for the tables that reflect the grit effect stoneware of the counter top, for the seats and for the benches with padded backrest with capitonné effect.
The design of the restaurant focuses on creating a unitary environment with attention to the care of surfaces and details. The wooden cladding of the bar counter extends to the adjoining planter which brings naturalness to the interior layout and creates a play of light-shadow effect thanks to the presence of a dedicated spotlight.
The refrigerated display cases supplied and installed by Frigomeccanica bring the specialties and preparations that characterize the restaurant's offer into the spotlight. They integrate perfectly into the layout of the counter thanks to the strong linearity of the glass surfaces.
