Casa Mia

Casa Mia

A metropolitan space whose decorations typical of early 20th century Milanese architecture dialogue with the refined handcrafted finishes of Gallotti&Radice’s furnishings for elegant and exclusive total living. A domestic scenario that focuses on beauty and attention to detail encapsulated in the quality of the materials, the refinement of the lines and the experimentation with new finishes. Casa Mia a Milano is a project by Silvia Gallotti that recovers and enhances the historical beauty of an apartment located in a 1920s mansion in Via Mascheroni, in the heart of Milan, which stands out for its period parquet and grit floors left in original, decorated ceiling moldings, fine f ramed interior doors and cast-iron radiators.
An immersive perspective that is expressed in the various environments: living, dining, bedroom exploring the bathroom and kitchen. Gallotti&Radice products are enhanced by the interior design of Dainelli Studio. At the entrance, a large, patterned cabinet covered in canned black ash, a signature of Dainelli Studio, anticipates the colors that will be found in the apartment.
The living room with the large Bolle Tela hanging chandelier is the centerpiece of the design, the sinuous lines given by the Audrey sofas, with matching pouf, and side tables Clemo, Re-verre, Haumea and Monete welcome guests creating an enveloping space. The Brera walnut bookcase with doors in the special Lava-colored liquid metalfinish is framed by the custom G&R boiserie and, together with the artwork and modern antiques, makes this space even more exclusive. In the dining area, a space capable of accommodating a large number of people thanks to the large Maat table illuminated by Bolle Cielo pendant lamp in a topazio finish and complemented by the 0414 armchairs, Dainelli Studio decided to create a sliding curtain made of brass, a material that enhances the refinement of the space, to hide an interactive whiteboard, so as to transform the elegant dining room into a meeting room. In the master bedroom, dark colors enhance the centrality of the bed illuminated by the chandelier. The green marble detail set into the niche of the Gallotti&Radice custom closet echoes the 1968 coffee table top. The bathroom entry door was integrated into the wall paneling to create more continuityof space. The studio was designed to meet the need for storage space. The custom, bridged cabinetry and the canned wood paneling blend seamlessly into the architectural space of the room but without depriving it of natural light. The Stami writing desk and pouf and the Lilas Mosaique seat make the space essential yet cozy. Framing the project is the Magenta District: the area that has developed, to the west of Milan’s city
center, along the perimeter of the old walls, close to Porta Magenta, from which it takes its name. The Magenta district was chosen because it is the quintessential middle-class residential district of the city of Milan, rich in historical charm and outside the usual Milanese design circuits already known to our sector.
