New composite blackout kit from Gardenode
Gardenode, a Belgian supplier of fencing and blackout systems, is expanding its range with a new blackout kit for 50 mesh rigid panels. The new Premium B50 kit comprises fifty composite wood slats, aluminium finishing accessories and a system for holding the slats in place on the welded mesh.
‘The market for wood composite kits is growing rapidly,’ explains Bas Hendriks, International Sales Manager. ‘It's a simple way of screening a fence using a durable, maintenance-free material that is 90 per cent recycled, and that's what appeals to customers. Until now, blackout kits have only been suitable for 55-millimetre mesh panels, as manufactured by the major players in the French market. To meet market demand and find a solution for almost all panels, we are now manufacturing another variant of the Premium kit with narrower slats.
‘Our straight-lay Premium B50 kit is installed by sliding the battens between the panel meshes,’ continues Bas Hendriks, ’then inserting the aluminium reinforcements into the folds. Then all you have to do is hang the battens using the strips from our fastening system, which we call Upkos, and clip on the top aluminium rail for a perfect finish. We're the only company on the market to offer this straight-lay wood composite kit.
The forty-eight composite wood intermediate battens are 44 mm wide, so they can be inserted into panels with a 50 mm trunk. Two 33 mm wide end battens are provided for the first and last mesh. The top rail is the same as on the other Gardenode kits: Premium V24 and Universal. Bas Hendriks: ‘The special feature of the trapezoidal reinforcement for this Premium B50 kit is that it is suitable for several folds of panels, small and large, which means that it can be positioned according to the type of panel, in one direction or the other’. The Premium B50 kits are available in anthracite grey and brown and in five heights ranging from 1030 to 1930 millimetres. Gardenode will be presenting this Premium B50 kit at the Paysalia trade show in Lyon.
