Malmö Live, Concert Hall
A World-Class Acoustic Concert Hall
Every time a new concert hall opens it is equipped with world-class acoustics, however in Malmö Live it is justified. The main concert hall in Malmö was opened in May 2015 and it quickly grew to become one of Scandinavia’s most popular live music venues.
The walls and ceilings in the main concert hall are cladded with specially designed boxes called Mondrian elements, from Gustafs, in oak and brass. These elements are designed in different sizes to reflect and diffuse sound in the concert hall. Alongside the balustrade, beautiful Gustafs oak ribs is installed.
The main concert hall is the main attraction of Malmö Live, but Malmö Live is much more than that. The 54 000 sq.m building also contains a hotel, congress hall and a smaller concert hall, where Gustafs panels and ribs have set their mark. Gustafs has produced and installed over 20 000 sq.m panels and ribs throughout the Malmö Live building.
