ISOMAT as a Bronze Sponsor at the SBE19-Thessaloniki scientific conference

ISOMAT is proud to be a bronze sponsor of the international scientific conference titled “Sustainability in the built environment for climate change mitigation, SBE19-Thessaloniki”, which will take place from 23 to 25 October 2019, at the Research Dissemination Center of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

The conference aims to address the issue of sustainability and its interrelation with climate change. During the three-day event, distinguished researchers from all over the globe will present a series of scientific papers regarding the sustainability of building constructions and the built environment in general. Within this framework, a number of lectures will be given by guest speakers with specialized knowledge in the fields on renewable energy sources, urban area upgrading, as well as various social, economic and educational issues that affect and are directly related to climate change.

The conference is organized by the Laboratory of Building Construction and Building Physics, Department of Civil Engineering, School of Engineering Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and is part of the International Sustainable Built Environment Conference Series, which is supervised by the International Council for Research and Innovation in Building and Construction (CIB), the International Initiative for a Sustainable Built Environment (iiSBE), the United Nations Environment Program, and the International Federation of Consulting Engineers (FIDIC).

Through the implementation of certified environmental management systems, ISOMAT aims to reduce the use of natural resources and to conserve energy in the manufacturing of its products while focusing on the continuous development of products that contribute to environmental protection and energy conservation, and also supporting initiatives that promote academic research and sustainable development.
