QUBICA LIGHT by KE creates a poolside oasis at Hotel Adlon, Lido di Jesolo

Project Description:

Hotel Adlon is 4-star, seaside hotel in Jesolo Lido. Part of the Rizzante Hotels chain, it is famous for its top-level guest services.

Hotel management contacted KE’s Project Management Office (PMO), which specializes in custom-tailored projects in the Ho.Re.Ca industry. Their goal was to create a protected outdoor space for restaurant guests, while creating enough shade to reduce the intense heating from the afternoon sun, limiting the need to use their large, costly air conditioners.

The customer also wanted a comfortable area for pool patrons to relax in the area in front of the restaurant. They selected the QUBICA LIGHT cassette awning by KE.

Created by designer Robby Cantarutti, the QUBICA family of awnings is available in 4 distinct colors that can be combined to achieve up to 16 different color configurations. Hotel Adlon chose matte aluminum.

QUBICA awnings take advantage of the latest generation of home automation systems, allowing sensors to control opening and closing of the awning as the weather changes. The user can program operation of the awning and control it from a smartphone app, keeping track of its operation even from a remote location.

The matte aluminum color of these QUBICA awnings blends beautifully with the hotel’s façade. When closed, the full cassettes protect the awning fabric from the elements.

Technical Specifications:

Qubica Light retractable awning with full cassette.

Fully retractable cassette awning with BALTEUS or AKI LED arms, which are specially designed to distance themselves from the fabric when opening.

Awning can be inclined up to 80°. Rollerbat® 80mm, galvanized steel fabric roller has a patented system for reducing creases in the fabric. Qubica Light awning has a square aluminum front bar and motorized movement provided by a tubular motor.

Maximum dimensions are 600 x 360 cm.

Profiles are made of extruded aluminum alloy EN AW-6060. Wall or roof mount is achieved with extruded aluminum brackets and steel screws. Painted parts are powder coated with epoxy powders based in a polyester resin.

The standard colors are: RAL 9010 White Matt, RAL 9006 Aluminum Matt, Corten and Carbon. Custom colors available.

Options include AKI arms with integrated LED lights as well as wind, sun and rain sensors for automatic activation of the awning. Compatible with modern home automation systems for completely remote management.

Wind resistance up to class 2 (UNI EN 13561: 2015).

Resistance to rainwater up to class 2 (UNI EN 13561: 2015).

Class related to Gtot (EN 14501: 2006) assigned to the fabric

The product has the CE marking according to UNI EN 13561: 2015
