Project description:

Located on the Alabaster coast in Normadia, Dieppe is a lively seaside town with a castle museum, a picturesque beach and a port famous throughout France. Its 900 seats, 50 of which are reserved for visitors, are located in the heart of the town, opposite the splendid facades of the Henri IV pier. Walking around this area makes the most of its nautical dimension: wide pedestrian areas, benches placed in front of the boats, not forgetting the series of café and restaurant terraces. It is here in front of the historic marina that the restaurant La Dunette serves traditional French dishes, mainly from local fisheries with one speciality above all: coquille Saint Jaques.

The Owner wanted to expand and optimise the usable space of the dehors, previously equipped with ground blinds, solutions replaced by the Kedry Skylife bioclimatic pergola awning, which is functional, solid and with a more linear aesthetic thanks to its flat roof, and by Qubica Light arm awnings. Once closed with Line Glass panoramic windows, the pergola protects from rain and wind in all seasons. The choice of Line Glass glazing therefore allows on the one hand to maintain a complete and clear view of the incredible landscape of the port of Dieppe, and on the other hand, combined with the retractable louvres, to ensure the perfect brightness of the interior spaces.

The real plus was to be able to install Qubica Light awnings on the pergola itself to further increase the number of seats without taking up floor space, but also to shelter from the sun in the morning. To complete the shading, vertical blinds were installed in front of the pergola window and a system of LED strips around the perimeter as well as in the arms of the Qubica Light awnings to enjoy every moment of the day. The proposed solution is therefore complete, modular and extremely versatile, capable of providing shade, light, ventilation or sun at the same time.

The project involved the installation of 6 modules of different sizes to perfectly fit the shape of the building and be aligned with the windows, all with a minimum of uprights to cover the entire terrace.

A drawing meticulously and precisely designed by KE's PMO office. The building's façade, with its ancient charm, is fully respected once again, both in terms of the alignment of the modules with the architecture and the choice of RAL Corten color, a natural rust, for the various solutions. The awning fabric for the terrace is selected in red, the characteristic and bold color of the La Dunette restaurant.

A new reception space with sophistication and character, capable of protecting and enhancing the moments of gourmand conviviality of La Dunette's guests; KE confirms itself as a partner of absolute reliability and ability to meet the demands of ho.re.ca. design.
