The editorial board selects our stand project for Light+Building 2022 in its latest publication
KISSA is a new lighting company that produces light sculptures, backlit lamps with a profound artistic sense and architectural profiles for integrated lighting projects. I was commissioned to integrate all of this into a small-scale space such as a stand. This meant the great challenge of creating a singular, architectural, exhibition space, with harmony, visually striking and functional. The proposed solution was to incorporate the range of smaller section profiles (K31 series), as ribs of a light roof that delimits the exhibition space, providing a human scale in the context of a high pavilion typical of trade fairs. This canopy was created from a ruled surface made up of these extruded profiles, which were also curved to achieve their organic shape. The variety of the product range allowed for different widths and orientations of the light lines (allowing the LED to be placed on one, two or even four sides of the profile).
profile). In this way the canopy lights up, flashes and invites you to come closer. At the same time, the aforementioned lamps combined with the sculptural elements are incorporated, forming the identity of the brand, with the stand itself becoming identifiable as a marketing reference.
