FILM RECORDING "SUJETAME EL CUBATA" with JJ VAQUERO

The Teatro Zorrilla is located in the heart of Valladolid, in the busy main square. This place is a true landmark of the city, a space full of history and culture where countless plays and shows have been performed over the years.

JJ Vaquero is a popular Spanish comedian and scriptwriter, known for his quick wit and sarcastic humour. Originally from Valladolid, his style of comedy is characterised by personal anecdotes mixed with sharp observations about everyday life. He is a regular face on television and radio programmes in Spain, and has won the recognition and affection of the public for his authentic and unpretentious humour.

As part of the filming of the movie "Sujétame el cubata", JJ Vaquero presents a monologue in the theatre for which he entrusted us with an exceptionally personal commission: a sculpture of imposing presence that captures the essence of KISSA but also reflects the charisma and personality of the performer. This vision gave rise to VK, a large-format 360º sculpture, offering multiple perspectives and fascinating compositions between the two linear elements that constitute it, one of which insinuates the V of Vaquero.

The versatile K601A profile is twisted to create a subtle yet powerful linear helical light effect. Both rods emerge from a metal pedestal, the entire sculpture coated with a shiny metallic graphite finish that achieves spectacular light and light effects.
