NEW: copper cladding by KME

TECU® slot-in panels with tongue and groove for horizontal and vertical assembly are manufactured with a construction depth of approximately 25 mm. TECU® slot-in panels are universally suited for the design of ventilated façades and can be installed horizontally, vertically and diagonally. The joint width can be varied from 5 mm - 25 mm and panel lengths from approx. 400mm – 6000 mm (max 3000 mm in TECU® Patina), enabling beautiful and interesting façade designs to be realized with TECU® slot-in panels. The wide range of materials, with differing surface characteristics, means that attractive and unique façade designs can be realized in TECU® slot-in panels.

INSTALLATION

Installation of TECU® slot-in panels is very straightforward, with concealed fixings and a tongue-and-groove joint technique.

Provision must be made, in the installation and subconstruction, to allow for movement due to thermal expansion / contraction in both lateral and traverse directions.

Typical subconstruction in the UK is profiled rails, fixed back to structural steelwork or to blockwork main wall using brackets.

TECU® slot-in panels can also be fixed back to wooden battens, plywood or trapezoidal sheet. The panels are typically delivered with open ends, but panels with both ends closed, and corner-panels for horizontally-aligned panels are also available.

Butt-joint connectors and internal stiffeners complete the system, these serve to reinforce panels made from thin-gauge sheet and provide a flat façade surface.

Fixing of TECU® slot-panels is preferably carried out with low-profile cheese-head screws, which engage with the substructure in the hidden part of each panel’s “groove”.
