Macalloy Compression Struts at Waterloo Station

The upgraded Waterloo Station aims to improve, and increase the capacity of London Waterloo, Britain’s busiest station, and one of the country’s most used railways. The £800 million investment includes the rebuilding of the former Waterloo International Terminal and bringing platforms 20–24 back into use with modern facilities, new track and signalling, and a layout that meets the needs of thousands of passengers. Macalloy CHS Compression Struts in M76, M64, M56, M42 have been used as a light weight solution, as foundations could not be installed to support the roof, due to the number of tunnels underneath.
